The nominated works of the Long Featured Competition of “8th New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival” (To be held from November 5 to November 8, 2021) have been announced. The 4 most outstanding works were chosen from the 39 works that were applied from 23 countries/ region.

The 4 nominated works are “The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily”, “Chicken Of The Mound”, “Dozens of Norths”, and “Elulu”.
“The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily” will have an advanced screening as a Japan premiere on the Long Featured Competition. The first featured film of director Yamamura Kouji, who is the top 2 of the world 25 short film directors, “Dozens of Norths”, will have a world premiere screening.

Also, the 4 nominated works of the Long Featured Competition will be screened only at New Chitose Airport’s Theatre during the film festival period. The award works, including the Best Short Film (Cash Prize of 1 million JPY) and Best Long Featured Film (Cash Prize 300,000 JPY), will be announced after the judging by the international juries.

“8th New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival” will be held from November 5 to November 8 at New Chitose Airport Terminal.
