“Belle: The Dragon and the Freckled Princess” directed by Hosoda Mamoru will be released on July 16, 2021. Prior to the release, the first 3 minutes of the film were released for 48 hours only.

This is the latest work of director Hosoda Mamoru, who is known for “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time”, “Summer Wars”, and “Mirai”.
This is a story of bravery and hope of the main protagonist, who has a trauma that was caused by her mother death, struggling and trying her best to head to the future after she found an important existence to her on the internet virtual world, “U”, which has over 5 billion people and it can be known as the “another reality”.

In collaboration with the creator group millennium parade headed by Tsuneta Daiki of the rock band King Gnu, the footage on the tremendous live scenes of Belle singing the main theme song “U”, which is approximately the first 3 minutes of the film, have been released. It was released after the July 9 broadcast of “The Boy and the Beast” on the “Kinyoubi Roadshow” (lit. Friday Movie) at 11:15 PM, on the official film YouTube for “48 hours only”.

The live scene of Belle singing the main theme song “U” dazzling in the bright red flower dress on top of the head of the floating whale on the internet virtual world, “U” is quite amazing. The graphic flowers that were released from Belle had spread through the world of “U” as it displays the important element of this film, music splendidly as well as showing off the magnificent atmosphere during the opening scenes.

Also, a total of 7 new cut-scenes that were taken from “U” were released. Just as the statement of the director during the completion announce on the other day, the dance scenes that imitate “Beauty and the Beast of the Internet World” and the various expressions of the unique characters can be seen.

“Belle: The Dragon and the Freckled Princess” will be released on July 16. The footage on the beginning of the film was released on the film official YouTube at 11:15 PM, on July 9, 2021.
