“The Failure of the Zeon Army” and “The Legacy of the Zeon Army”, two books that discuss the development and technology of Mobile Suits from “Mobile Suit Gundam”, will be released. Cover illustrations for both of the books were drawn by Ark Performance, the author of the manga “Mobile Suit Gundam MSV-R: The Return of Johnny Ridden”.

“Mobile Suit Gundam The Tree of Zeon Technology: The Failure of the Zeon Army U.C. 0079” is an updated version of the book released in 2009, with additional chapters.
Why are their products like Acguy that no one uses? Would the Zeon Army actually win the war if they could mass-produce Big Zams? The book discusses failures that often happen when developing products through “the failures of the Zeon Army” in the One Year War.

“Mobile Suit Gundam The Tree of Zeon Technology: The Legacy of the Zeon Army U.C. 0079-0096” was written from scratch, unraveling “the legacy of the Zeon Army” to discuss the innovative technology.
The two successor models, Hi-Zack and Rick Dias show how high-performance models are not always the standard. The-O is a model that discarded past technology and blossomed as a different product with new uses. And Shamblo proves that technology from the previous generation can be refined to the point that it becomes relevant in the current day. The book explains the technology involved with the classic models from the series.

“Mobile Suit Gundam The Tree of Zeon Technology: The Failure of the Zeon Army U.C. 0079” and “Mobile Suit Gundam The Tree of Zeon Technology: The Legacy of the Zeon Army U.C. 0079-0096” are currently on sale at 1,200 JPY each (tax excluded).
