The original story of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is a Japanese-style dark fantasy serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 2016 to 2020 by Gotouge Koyoharu.
The TV anime “Kamado Tanjiro’s Life Story” was broadcasted from April to September 2019 with 26 episodes, and the sequel is depicted in this movie “Mugen Train”.

The box office results for the 9th week of release were 407,286 viewers and 588,408,200 JPY on December 12, and 248,024 viewers and 351,003,000 JPY on December 13.

The cumulative box office revenue was 30,289,307,700 JPY from 379 theaters nationwide. The total number of viewers was 22,539,385. It currently ranks second in Japan’s all-time box-office revenue ranking. It is only 600 million JPY away from “Spirited Away”‘s 30.8 billion JPY.

The movie will be screened in MX4D and 4DX at 82 theaters nationwide from December 26, and 300,000 people will receive an “Mugen Train ticket style acrylic key chain” as a special novelty for those who watch the movie in MX4D and 4DX.

” Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie Mugen Train” is currently being released in theaters nationwide.
