There is around one month left till the release of “Gintama” latest anime movie “Gintama THE FINAL” on January 8, 2020, and the latest trailer depicting the final battle of Gin-san and others has been released.
The song “Douraku Shinjou” by DOES, which was announced to handle the insert song, could be heard for the first time in the latest trailer. Also, it was announced that “Tanjirou & Hashira Illustration Card” drawn by Sorachi Hideaki will be distributed as the first-week audience novelty.
The latest trailer starts with the all-out shout of Shinpachi and Kagura “Come back! Sakata Gintoki!!!!” but Gin-san, who has appearing gallantly, was being eaten by Sadaharu, which shows that it was filled with the “Gintama”-like comedy from the beginning.
While the countdown toward the earth destruction is getting closer, the Yorozuya members (Gin-san, Shinpachi, and Kagura), Katsura, Takasugi, Kondou, Hijikata, Okita, and the others Shinsengumi members along with Otae, Sarutobi, Tsukuyo, and Kyubei go all-out in the battle with the final boss, Utsuro. This is a gathering of the all-stars of “Gintama”, and the continuous battle scene is a must-see.
The insert song that will liven up their battle, “Douraku Shinjou” by DOES was revealed for the first time.
DOES has handled the opening and theme song in the anime and movie, but the comments regarding this insert song are “We had put in all of our effort to create this song with the thoughts of repaying the favor as well as a song that the anime fans and rock fans that knew about us from Gintama, the friendly staff, voice actors, as well as all the Gintama’s fans will enjoy”.
The theme of this song is the single phrase in the lyric, which is “Saigo no Saigo no Baka Sawagi” (The last and final horseplay). Do listen to this passionate song that is in sync with the final battle of Gin-san and others.
Also, DOES was in charge of the insert song titled “Breakdown”, so do look forward to this song that will liven up the movie together with “Douraku Shinjou”.
The second part of the trailer shows Gin-san, Takasugi, and Katsura, with their own thoughts, heading toward the final battle with Utsuro, the other personality of Yoshida Shouyou, who is the teacher of Gin-san and others. The trailer ended with the Gin-san lines “The thing that I want to protect is here (Soul)”. Will Gin-san and the others managed to reclaim everything back… however, the incomplete arts were also shown in the trailer.
Will they managed to welcome the finale safely? The latest trailer is so “Gintama”-like until the very end, where it overflowed with laughter and tears.
Other than the trailer, it was announced that the first-week audience novelty will be “Tanjirou & Hashira Illustration Card” drawn by the original author Sorachi Hideaki. The detail about this will be announced at a later date.
