Okinawa Seafood Sale Promotion Council set the day since mid-Jul. has the highest mango exports. Mango is a tropical fruit, which is mainly produced in Okinawa and Miyazaki for Japan. Yellow fruit enjoys our tongues with its sweet taste.
Here at Anime!Anime!, based on this holiday, we have conducted a reader's survey asking, “Which anime character reminds you of the color yellow?” following the previous year. The survey was conducted from Jul. 2 to Jul. 9, and a total of 187 people answered the survey. The female readers made up the majority, by making up approximately 75% of the overall vote, while the male readers made up approximately 25%. For the age group, 19-year old or under made up approximately 55%, and '20's made up approximately 25%.

1st Place
The 1st place was Agatsuma Zenitsu from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”. The support rating was approximately 10% and ranked much higher compared to the ranking held in the previous year.
The readers commented, “He is the user of the Breath of the Lightning, and his hair, which turned into yellow by being hit by lightning, is also charming” and “Because his hair color, eye color, and outfit are all yellow”.
Not only his visual is based on the color yellow, but many votes are also backed by the fact that he is related to lightning. The character from the series with upcoming release of the movie ranked on the top of the ranking.
2nd Place
The 2nd place went to Kise Ryouta from “Kuroko no Basketball”. He could not rank on the top for 2 consecutive years, but the difference between the top was very small.
The opinions mentioned that the visual and his personality match perfectly with yellow, and a comment mentioned that said, “His name, hair color, and the fact that he is the most optimistic man among the Miracle Generations. I cannot imagine someone other than him with the yellow color”. He was also popular for being serious about basketball, and the comment said, “He is often teased by others, but I like the gap for being very serious about basketball”.
3rd Place
The 3rd place was Matsuno Juushimatsu from “Osomatsu-san”. The support rating was approximately 7% and ranked one place lower compared to the previous year.
There were many comments mentioned that yellow matches perfectly to his energetic personality: “Energetic yellow is for Juushimatsu. He makes others energetic in both comedy and moving episodes”.
The comments looked forward to the 3rd season said, “Yellow color is for this guy! He quickly came into my mind since the 3rd season for the anime has been decided”.

For Pikachu from “Pokemon”: “Pikachu is so popular that he is the symbol of 'Pokemon' series. His body color also fits nicely for the fact that he is an electric-type Pokemon.”
For Cure Lemonade from “YES! Pretty Cure 5”: “She is the first yellow Pretty Cure after several Pretty Cure series have been released. I admired her curly, yellow twin-tails, and fluffy outfits.”
To Shinomiya Natsuki from “Uta no Princess-sama♪”: “Nacchan's relaxing and kind atmosphere comes from the yellow color. His cold, another personality is a great match with vivid yellow.”
Gordon Tracey from “Thunder Bird AGE GO”: “In the live-action version performed with dolls, his character color was orange but it is rare thing that his character color changed in the reboot version! His Thunder Bird 4 was the Yellow Submarine in the color yellow. He is surrounded by yellow!”
Non-human characters, including Pikachu from “Pokemon” and Koro-sensei from “Assassination Classroom”, also ranked in this ranking. The characters using lightning special moves, including Agatsuma Zenitsu from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, also ranked in as well.
