It has been determined that The DVD BOOK, “Hakushaku Daimaou The Best Episodes COMPLETE DVD BOOK”, which contains carefully selected the best 20 episodes from the TV anime “The Genie Family: Hakushoku Daimaou” (all 104 episodes broadcasted in 1969), will be released. It will be on sale at online and physical bookstores nationwide from Apr. 10, 2020.
The TV anime “The Genie Family: Hakushon Daimaou” is a gag anime produced by Tatsunoko Production which was broadcasted in 1969. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the broadcast, and from April, the new anime “Hakushoku Daimaou 2020” will be broadcasted.
This DVD BOOK includes 20 episodes selected from a total of 104 episodes, including the episodes where the main characters such as Genie and Akubi-chan, the older man and others first appear, the hilarious episodes that unfold with the familiar characters, Kan-chan and Duke Bull, which make us laugh out loud, episodes that are full of moving stories, and the last touching episode, “Goodbye, Genie”.
The attached booklet includes character introductions, precious setting pictures and illustration galleries. Furthermore, a special interview with Sasagawa Hiroshi who served as general director is published, where he looks back on those days.
The price of “Hakushon Daimaou The Best Episodes Complete DVD BOOK” is 1,500 JPY (tax excluded). Currently, pre-orders are available on Amazon, and it will start to be on sale at online and physical bookstores nationwide on Apr. 10, 2020
