The broadcast of TV anime “Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater” will start in Apr. 7 at TOKYO MX, and other TV channels. Furthermore, the latest news which include the 2nd promo video, theme song, and additional staff members have been announced.
“Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater” is originally a manga serialized in “Young Champion Retsu”. The story follows a high school student named Tsurugi Hina who moved to the countryside near the sea. After meeting her senior Kuroiwa Yuuki, she joins the “Embankment Club” where she is surrounded by unique members and realizes how much fun there is in going fishing.
TV anime will be aired at; AT-X, TOKYO MX, MBS from Apr. 7, BS11 from Apr. 8, and RKK Kumamoto Broadcasting from Apr. 10. It will be broadcast at Docomo Anime Store, as the fastest online streaming after the terrestrial broadcast, from Apr. 7, and other websites are also planned to be included.
The 2nd promo video depicts the “indoor type” protagonist Tsurugi Hina becoming a member of the Embankment Club and having her first fishing experience. The theme song is performed by the singing unit composed of the four main cast members who are the members of the Embankment Club at Umino High School; Tsurugi Hina (CV: Takao Kanon), Hodaka Natsumi (CV: Kawaida Natsumi), Kuroiwa Yuuki (CV: Sasahara Yu), and Ono Makoto (CV: Akesaka Satomi).
In the PV, you can also hear the refreshing singing voice of the opening theme “SEA HORIZON”. The double A-side single with the ending theme “Tsuri no Sekai e” (“To the world of fishing”) will be released on Apr. 29. The first limited edition comes with a DVD that features a music clip of “SEA HORIZON” and a behind-the-scenes video. It is priced at 1800 JPY, while the regular edition is priced at 1200 JPY (both tax included).
The additional staff includes members who are in charge of the fishing gear prop design. It seems that, not only the cute characters, but also realistic fishing depictions are going to be a great attraction of this work.
