At the official “Doraemon” shop, “Doraemon Future Department Store,” items designed with traditional Japanese motifs came on sale starting July 11. There are four types of Japanese goods that match illustrations of secret gadgets with a touch of Japanese patterns.

“Doraemon” is an anime based on the popular manga by Fujiko F. Fujio. It features Doraemon, a futuristic cat-shaped robot who pulls out mysterious “secret gadgets” from his four-dimensional pocket, and his friendship and daily life with Nobita, who struggles with studying and sports, and their friends.

The TV anime has been a popular long-running series of over 45 years, with many theatrical versions produced as well. In March this year, the latest film, the 43rd in the series, “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Earth Symphony,” was released and became a big hit, continuing to be loved by many fans as a national anime.

At the “Doraemon Future Department Store,” from July 11, both in the store and online, exclusive Japanese carry goods designed with traditional motifs went on sale. The “Gamaguchi (purse) Shoulder Bag” is an easy-to-use item that can be hung around the neck, and available in two types: Hishi (diamond shape) and Ekasumi.

The Hishi type features various expressions of Doraemon and secret gadgets, with colorful but soft Japanese hues that are not too flashy, making it easy to use. The Ekasumi type is designed with a pattern of clouds and a pattern of the seven treasures, depicting Doraemon flying freely with a Takecopter.

Both types have a tag inside with a silhouette of Doraemon’s back, making it an item you can enjoy in detail. The price is 4,950 JPY each.

The “Double Gamaguchi” is also available in Hishi and Ekasumi types. Compact yet with ample storage capacity, it also has another Gamaguchi inside, allowing you to separate bills and coins or organize cards. Each costs 3,190 JPY.

The “Kinchaku” is made of sturdy fabric, convenient for carrying small items, and less likely to show through, making it useful for carrying hygiene products or makeup. It is also available in Hishi and Ekasumi types, priced at 1,210 JPY each.

The “Gauze Towel Handkerchief” is a perfect item for summer use, being soft and quick-drying, available in two types: Takara-zukushi (treasures) and Ekasumi. The Takara-zukushi type incorporates secret gadgets in a traditional Japanese motif of treasures.

The Ekasumi type features the same Takecopter flying pattern used in the shoulder bags and double gamaguchi. The price is 770 JPY each (all including tax).
