Live-Action Film “Tokyo Revengers 2” will be Released in Two Parts, Featuring “Bloody Halloween Arc”! Premiere Scheduled for Golden Week and Summer 2023

The sequel to the live-action film “Tokyo Revengers” will be a two-part adaptation of the “Bloody Halloween Arc,” one of the popular stories from the original work. The first part, “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween -Fate-” will premiere during Golden Week 2023, followed by “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween -Decisive Battle-” in the summer of the same year.

The story is based on Wakui Ken’s blockbuster comic serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine,” which exceeded 65 million copies in circulation in July 2022.
The first live-action film from the series was released on July 9, 2021, featuring popular actors, including Kitamura Takumi, who played the main character Takemichi. It grossed 4.5 billion yen at the box office and drew 3.35 million viewers, making it the number one live-action theatrical film of 2021.

The official website announced the production of the sequel of the live-action film by late July 2022. This time, they disclosed its latest information that the film will depict the “Bloody Halloween Arc” in two parts.

In addition to Takemichi, Mikey, Draken, and other major characters, the “Bloody Halloween Arc” also introduces new characters such as Baji Keisuke, Hanemiya Kazutora, and Matsuno Chifuyu, those overwhelmingly popular among fans. The “Bloody Halloween Arc” is one of the most popular episodes in the original work, thus fans are excited to find out who will play the new characters.

The new films are titled “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween -Fate-” and “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween -Decisive Battle-.” The first part, “-Fate-” will be released in Golden Week 2023, and the second part, “-Decisive Battle-” in the summer of the same year.
