The Blu-ray and DVD of “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie” will be released on September 21, 2022. In commemoration of this, an app campaign will be held at 7-Eleven stores from September 19 for a limited time, allowing fans to join a lottery to win an original portrait of the film.

“Jujutsu Kaisen” is a dark fantasy based on the comic series by Akutomi Gege, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The story depicts the battle between curses born from negative emotions of humans and the sorcerers who exorcize them through sorcery. The manga series has published twenty volumes so far, selling more than 70 million copies.

The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021 and received high ratings despite being broadcasted late at night. “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie” is a film adaptation of “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College,” also known as “Volume 0,” a prequel to the main comic series released on December 24, 2021. The film was a huge hit, grossing 13.8 billion yen at the domestic box office. The second season of the TV series will start broadcasting in 2023.
