It has been decided that “Police Academy Arc” featuring the popular character of “Detective Conan” Amuro Tooru=Furuya Rei during his police academy period will be broadcast every Saturday, at 6:00 PM, on Yomiuri TV and nationwide Nippon TV affiliated channels. It was revealed that the first part will be broadcast on December 4, and the comments from Furuya Tohru, Canna Nobutoshi, Touchi Hiroki, Miki Shinichiro, and Midorikawa Hikaru have been released.

“Police Academy Arc” depicts the youth of Amuro Tooru=Furuya Rei and his 4 friends and it is a spin-off story of “Detective Conan”. Other than Furuya, Matsuda Jinpei, Date Wataru, Hagiwara Kenji, and Morofushi Hiromitsu have passed away in the main story, and their past still remains a mystery. The 5 of them are police officers with extraordinary talents, but how did they spend their time together as classmates? And the answer lies in this work.

Along with the popular Halloween visual featuring the police academy members that was revealed previously, a lot of attention is being focused on the movies and TV series of “Detective Conan” together with the police academy members. This work will surely be an entertaining anime with excitement toward future developments and the original manga had exceeded 100 volumes.

The first part of “Police Academy Arc”, “Police Academy Arc CASE Matsuda Jinpei” will be broadcast on December 4, at 6:00 PM, on Yomiuri TV and nationwide Nippon TV affiliated channels. The future episode will be broadcast on the same slot at an irregular interval.

A: I jumped in joy after hearing the news as I was looking forward to the anime adaptation ever since the serialization has started on Weekly Shounen Sunday.

A: As the 22 years old Furuya Rei is still a police officer newcomer, I had tried to show off his inexperience and naïve side despite being an honor student. Please look forward to it as it depicts the road of Furuya Rei to become the current perfect human♪

A: Please do enjoy the thrilling episodes together with the 5 youngsters that have a strong ambition during the peak of their life.

A: I was happy that I am able to meet Matsuda again, but as it has been a long time since I voiced Matsuda, and I am required to voice the younger version of Matsuda, it makes me feel a bit nervous. However, as I am able to understand more of their bond, this anticipation has helped me to overcome the nervousness.

● How is your acting for the Police Academy Arc as well as the highlights?
A: This is something that can’t be done alone. So, I will focus on exchanging the words with feeling instead of just the lines as there are various perspectives when linking with the history of not only the character but also with the cast members. I will also do my best so that the image of the manga won’t be ruined.

A: The role of Date Wataru is supposed to be voiced by Fujiwara Keiji. So, I will do my best in this role while feeling honored.

A: All the characters of Police Academy Arc are quite charming. Also, this recording will feature the same generation of voice actors that rarely gathered together with Furuya senpai as the leader. Anyway, this is a must-watch work! So, please look forward to it!
