ABEMA, the new future of television, released its “’Initial Velocity’ Ranking”, an independent survey of spring 2023 anime. TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village” won the 1st place in the number of views category, and “[Oshi no Ko]” won the 1st place in the number of comments category, respectively.

The “’Initial Velocity’ Ranking” is based on the viewing data of the first episode of the April cool new anime broadcasted on “ABEMA Anime Channel”. The top five works in the real-time viewing ranking and the top five works in the comment ranking calculated from the number of comments at the time of broadcast were announced.

The latest TV series of the hit anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, “TV anime ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc”, won the 1st place in the number of viewers category. The anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” began airing in April 2019, and in 2023, “World Tour Screening of ‘Demon Slayer: to the Swordsmith Village Arc” ” will also be released as a new challenge for the anime ” Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” which leads from the “Entertainment District Arc” to the “Swordsmith Village Arc.” In the “Swordsmith Village Arc” currently being broadcast, Tanjiro and the others are reunited with reunited with Tokito Muichiro, Mist Hashira, and Kanroji Mitsuri, Love Hashira and their new battles are depicted.

The 1st place in the comment category went to “[Oshi no Ko]” based on the comic of the same title produced by the duo of Akasaka Aka of “Kaguya-sama Love is War” and Yokoyari Mengo of “Scum’s Wish” fame and serialized in “Weekly Young Jump”. It is a story about the entertainment world that depicts the “strange fate” of Goro, an obstetrician and gynecologist working in a provincial city, when his “Oshi” idol Ai shows up at his doorstep.

The next three places were “TV anime ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc” in 2nd place, “Kono Suba: An Explosion on this Wonderful World!” in 3rd place, 4th place was “I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too”, and “Loving Yamada at Lv999” in 5th place.
