The new publication “Outline of Anime” by the anime critic, Fujitsu Ryouta, who’s “Anime no Mon V” is being serialized on Anime! Anime!, has been released on October 12, 2021.
Other than the serialization “Anime no Mon V” on Anime! Anime!, Fujitsu has appeared on the TBS radio “After 6 Junction”, SBS Radio “TORO Animation Souken”, etc. as he is an anime critic that is active in various media.
His latest publication “Outline of Anime” will feature the expression trait, known as “Anime” from 3 perspectives, and it mainly focuses on the manuscripts that were published on “Eureka”.
For the first part “Perspective I: What is depicted? Concerning the era and theme”, it will focus on “The unsuitable theme for Anime, Fantasy” which started from his manuscript that thinks about the reasons why high fantasy is not suitable for anime, “The worldwide masterpiece that was introduced by TV Anime” which features the role played by the popular films, and “How Japanese Anime depicts the family” which puts the family figure in the anime under the spotlight.
For the second part “Perspective II: Who depicted it? Concerning the director and direction”, it will feature the aggregation of the discussion regarding the director and direction of the anime. It will contain the manuscripts, such as “Can anyone be an animation director?”, “Ikuhara Kunihiko as a ‘socialist'”, and “Anno Hideaki’s 2nd Chapter and toward the Shin Chapter”.
For the third part “Perspective III: How is it being depicted? Concerning the interface of anime, manga, and live-action”, it gathers the manuscripts “The characters that become 3D” and “When the manga become an anime” that feature the mutual points with other media, such as manga and live-action. Then, by using the mutual points with other media, it will study about the expression methods of the anime and the existence of anime characters.
“Outline of Anime” is priced at 1,800 JPY (tax excluded) and it was released on October 12.
