The most “literary” detective buddies are here! “Woodpecker Detective’s Office” has its main promotional video released.
The main promotional video for the TV anime “Woodpecker Detective’s Office” has been released. It shows a glimpse of the protagonist Ishikawa Takuboku’s boarding buddies, Hirai Tarou, Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, Wakayama Bokusui, and Yoshii Isamu, along with the old-town atmosphere of Tokyo in the Meiji era.
“Woodpecker Detective’s Office” is originally an authentic mystery novel written by Ii Kei and published by “Sogen Suiri Bunko”.
In Meiji 42 (1909), the poet Ishikawa Takuboku, who established the “Woodpecker Detective’s Office” to feed his family, and his linguist assistant Kindaichi Kyousuke solve mysteries in old-town Tokyo while getting their literary friends, Nomura Kodou, Yoshii Isamu, Hagiwara Sakutarou, and Wakayama Bokusui, involved in their cases.
The TV anime “Woodpecker Detective’s Office” will be broadcast from Apr. 13, 2020, on Tokyo MX, BS Fuji, and CS Family Gekijou. Iwate Menkoi Television and Nagasaki Culture Telecasting have also decided to air the show.
