The latest installment in the “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” series, “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgisnacht Rising,” is scheduled for release in the winter of 2024. The teaser 1.1 for the movie has been released, marking the debut of Kaname Madoka’s magical girl outfit from this movie.

“Puella Magi Madoka Magica” is an original anime created under the direction of Shinbo Akiyuki, with a script by Urobuchi Gen (Nitroplus), character concept by Aoki Ume, and animation production by SHAFT. The story begins with an ordinary second-year middle school student, Kaname Madoka, having a mysterious encounter and unfolds into a tale of magical girls born from wishes.

The daily lives of charming girls, the unpredictable and thrilling developments, and the world in which both regular and magical girls coexist are all vividly brought to life through SHAFT’s stunning visuals, the avant-garde alternate space designs by Gekidan Inu Curry, and the dramatic BGM by Kajiura Yuki. This unique combination has garnered high praise from a wide array of fields. After 12 episodes of the TV series were broadcast in 2011, a two-part movie, which served as a compilation of the series, was released in 2012, followed by a completely new movie in 2013, “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Rebellion.”

The teaser 1.1 for the latest installment, “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgisnacht Rising,” was released as a surprise at the 10th-anniversary screening event of “Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Rebellion” on October 29. With this video, Kaname Madoka’s magical girl outfit in “Walpurgisnacht Rising” was unveiled. Expectations are only growing for future updates.
