Summer Anime ‘RWBY: Ice Queendom’ Follows an Original Story from Episode 4! New Visual and Promotional Video Released

The summer anime “RWBY: Ice Queendom” will begin its original TV anime story with the fourth episode airing on July 24, 2022. The latest key visual and promotional video have just been released, and a look back screening on Nico Nico Live Broadcast and unlimited viewing of the original series have also been decided.

“RWBY” is a 3D web animation series produced by Rooster Teeth Productions of the United States and is currently in its eighth season.
“RWBY: Ice Queendom” is a TV anime series based on “RWBY”, which brings together the Japanese production team including Urobuchi Gen (Nitroplus) as the animation director, Ubukata Tow as the series director and screenwriter, and Shaft for the animation production.

The plot will start following an original story from Episode 4 on July 24. With the help of Shion, a hunter specializing in nightmares, Ruby sneaks into Weiss’s dream and snowboards through the snowfield to the core of the dream, where the nightmare takes root.

In commemoration of the start of the original story, the latest key visual and a new promotional video have been released. The visual shows Team RWBY standing up to save Weiss, who is trapped in the dream world of Nightmare alongside the impressive tagline, “We will not despair, no matter how much we are rejected.”

Manga artist Asada Hiroyuki’s end-card illustration for episode 3 has also been unveiled. The illustration shows the mysterious Shion cooperating with Team RWBY to defeat Nightmare, and his comments on the illustration were also released.

A “Review Screening of “RWBY Ice and Snow Empire” Chapter 1 to Chapter 3″ will be held on Nico Nico Live Broadcast on July 24. From August 5, the original “RWBY” series will be available for unlimited viewing on various websites, with the whole series coming together to boost the excitement.

Chapter 3 End Card: Asada Hiroyuki

I drew the mysterious nightmare hunter Shion, a new character in the Japanese version, as I felt a familiarity with them that is close to my illustration style.
With the presence of the new character Shion, who does not exist in the original version, I’m excited to explore the fusion of the original story and the new world!
