“Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” A new record for the series with a total of 6 billion JPY in gross revenue and a total of 3.96 million audiences!

After 21 days since the release, “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” (released on March 8, 2021) has recorded a total of 6 billion JPY in gross revenue with a total of 3.96 audiences.

“Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” is the latest as well as the finale of the “Rebuild of Evangelion” series, which was released in 2007 and it is the sequel to “You Are (Not) Alone”, “You Can (Not) Advance.”, and “You Can (Not) Redo”.
After being postponed several times, it was finally released nationwide on March 8 after undergoing the necessary steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The stage greeting featuring the appearance of the cast members was held on March 28 to thank the audience. The stage greeting was last held in 1997. A total of 60 thousand people have attended this stage greeting in Shibuya Wald9 and also from the live viewing on the other theatres. Also, on that night, the latest footage, which is PV A and PV B was released together on Khara’s Official YouTube channel.

The result for March 27 and March 28 is 528,017,500 JPY in termsm of gross revenue and 329,999 in terms of the audience. It has recorded a total of 6,078,211,750 JPY in terms of gross revenue and a total of 3,961,480 audiences over the span of 21 days since the release date.

This has set a new record in term of the gross revenue, audience as well as the series’ record and it has even surpassed the previous series “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.” (2012) with a total of 5.3 billion JPY in gross revenue and 3.82 million viewers.

The popular “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” is currently available at the theatres.
