Tsuburaya, Toho, and Khara announce that the release of “Shin Ultraman” will be postponed “due to the impact of the corona virus on the production schedule”.

The movie “Shin Ultraman,” planned and written by Anno Hideaki of “Evangelion” fame and scheduled to be released in early summer of 2021, has decided to adjust its release date. The reason is explained as “due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the production schedule.

“Shin Ultraman” is a special effects film planned and written by Anno Hideaki, directed by Higuchi Shinji, and was scheduled to be released in early summer of 2021.
On March 26, 2021, an announcement was made on the official website under the joint names of Tsuburaya Productions, Toho, and Khara, saying, “Due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the production schedule, we will not be releasing the film in early summer of 2021 as planned, but will adjust the release date to a new date.
