“Attack on Titan the Final Season Part 2” Won 1st Place! “Filmarks”‘s 2022 Anime Ranking Announced

“Filmarks”, one of the Japan’s biggest platforms to offer reviews of movies, dramas, and anime, has announced “2022 Anime Ranking” based on their data.
Based on their ★ score data from Dec. 1, 2021 to Nov. 30, 2022, 1st place went to “Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2”, 2nd place to “My Hero Academia Season 6”, and 3rd place to “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”.

“Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2” in 1st place this year is the latest series of the dark fantasy that depicts humans’ struggles in pursuit of freedom in the world dominated by the Titans.
Some enthusiastic comments have arrived from the users, including “Each story is very impactful, so I cannot take my eyes off it”, “The work is perfectly woven with music and illustration. Amazing!”, and “I want all the people to watch it”. As “Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3” is set to be broadcast in 2023, the momentum will continue.

“My Hero Academia Season 6” in 2nd place is the latest series of the hero action that follows the students, who aim to be heroes to combat the “Villains” in the world where 80% of the population has some sort of “Quirks”. Each series gets highly rated, and “all-out war” between the Heroes and Villains is in progress in the 6th season. Two cours will be broadcast in a row, so please stay tuned.

“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” in 3rd place is an anime composed of 10 original episodes based on the big hit game “Cyberpunk 2077”, and is streamed exclusively on Netflix. It became a hot topic even before the release as it was co-produced by the Japanese animation studio TRIGGER and the game’s production company CD PROJEKT RED.

After 4th place, there are “Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun”, the 2nd TV anime series, “The Heike Story”, the Taiga anime featuring people from the Taira clan and the daughter of a biwa hoshi, and “SPY×FAMILY 1st Cour”, which was also nominated for The U-Can Shingo Ryukogo Taisho (New and Fashionable Phrases Awards) . Popular works, which are based on manga or broadcast in series, have been ranked in the list.
