“BASE METAL” is the second production celebrating the 5th anniversary of “READING HIGH,” the 3.5D musical stage reading brand launched by Sony Music Entertainment with Fujisawa Bun-O. Set in the Palace of Versailles on the eve of the French Revolution, it tells the story of Count Cagliostro, a man who was called a matchless swindler among the many criminals who lived there as their stronghold. Based on “A BASE METAL” performed in 2014, this production will be revived with a new script and music as the 5th anniversary performance of “READING HIGH.”
This will be the first time for “READING HIGH” to perform in Osaka, since they have been playing in the Kanto area. Suwabe Junichi will play Count Cagliostro (and others,) Yasumoto Hiroki will appear on stage as Count Saint Germain, Toyonaga Toshiyuki becomes Giacomo Casanova, and Sawashiro Miyuki plays the role of Charles de Normandie (and others.)
“BASE METAL,” the second performance to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the musical stage reading “READING HIGH,” will be staged at the “Umeda Arts Theater Drama City” in Osaka on January 28 and 29, 2023. Tickets are priced at 15,000 yen for SS seats and 12,000 yen for S seats. Pre-order is available until 23:59 on December 18 at the official website of Ticket Pia.
