Nakamura Yuichi, Okamoto Nobuhiko, Saito Souma… A collection of voice actors’ voices that can be heard at pharmacies, McDonald’s, Lawson and other places around you.

In the street, in a shop, on the train… do you ever suddenly notice a familiar voice thinking, “Hey, this voice…”?

With the boom in voice acting, you can now hear the voices of voice actors in a wide range of places other than anime, such as in-store announcements and voice guides. We’ve picked up stores, exhibitions, and services where voice actors serve as announcers and navigators, and will introduce them here.

■Okamoto Nobuhiko

An original in-store commercial featuring Okamoto Nobuhiko is currently airing at Wellucia Group stores nationwide.

Okamoto Nobuhiko is a voice actor known for his roles as Okumura Rin in “Blue Exorcist”, Bakugo Katsuki in “My Hero Academia”, and Nishitani Yu in “Haikyu!!”

Please visit the store to see what kind of voice Okamoto, who uses a variety of different voice tones, uses to read out the commercials.

■Saito Souma

For a limited time only, voice actors will provide the starting voice for LAWSON BANK ATMs in the “Irashima Seiyu ATM” series. The sixth installment will be performed by Saito Souma, known for his roles as Ten Kujo Tenn “Idolish Seven” and Yumeno Gentaro in “Hypnosis Mic”.

You can only listen to Saito’s voice until December 11, so if you want to hear it, go to Lawson as soon as possible!

Shirai Yusuke

Shirai Yusuke, who plays the roles of Nikaido Yamato in “Idolish Seven” and Amemura Ramuda in “Hypnosis Mic” is currently narrating the McDonald’s in-store audio program “The Golden Rule of Deliciousness”.

Shirai had a part-time job at McDonald’s when he was in high school, and commented on his Twitter page, “If I could hear my own voice coming from that McDonald’s where I worked in high school, I might laugh a little (haha).

Nakamura Yuichi

Nakamura Yuichi, known for his roles as Gojyou Satoru in “Jujutsu Kaisen” and Matsuno Karamatsu in “Mr. Osomatsu”, is the audio guide for the special exhibition “Poison” currently being held at the National Science Museum (Ueno Park, Tokyo). He will navigate you through the world of “Poison” in an easy-to-understand way.

On the official website, he says, “I tried to create a guide with drama from the beginning to the end of the exhibition. I hope you will enjoy listening to it.

Namikawa Daisuke

An exhibition that takes you into the depths of the immeasurable talent of Togashi Yoshihiro, creator of “YuYu Hakusho” and “HUNTER x HUNTER”, is currently being held at Mori Arts Center Gallery (Roppongi, Tokyo). Namikawa Daisuke is the narrator of the audio guide for this exhibition.

Namikawa, who has appeared in Togashi’s anime as the Prince in “Level E” and as Hisoka Morow in “HUNTER x HUNTER”, leads the viewing experience of this exhibition deeper with his soft spoken voice.

Enoki Junya

Junya Enoki, who plays the role of Inupi (Inui Seisong) in the film’s anime, narrates the special trailer for Tokyo Revengers 2, which will be released in 2023.

The powerful images can be enjoyed along with Enoki’s powerful narration.
