To commemorate the release of “Suzume no Tojimari”, the latest movie by director Shinkai Makoto, 4 past works by him are now available for free on the new futuristic TV “ABEMA” from 1pm on November 19.
“Suzume no Tojimari” is the latest work by director Shinkai for the first time in 3 years after “Your Name.” in 2016 and “Weathering with You” in 2019.
The story is set in abandoned towns across Japan and depicts the growth and a path to freedom of a girl named Suzume, who travels to close the “Doors of Disaster”. It begins when Iwato Suzume, a 17-year-old girl living in Kyusyu, meets a young man Munakata Sota, who closes the “Doors of Disaster”.
The ABEMA’s commemorative event “The Movie ‘Suzume no Tojimari’ Release Commemoration! Director Shinkai Makoto’s 4 Works Free Streaming” has been announced to commemorate its release on November 11, 2022. Starting at 1pm on November 19, “The Place Promised in Our Early Days” in 2004, “5 Centimeters per Second” in 2007, “Children Who Chase Lost Voices” in 2011, and “The Garden of Words” in 2013, have been streamed on “ABEMA Anime 2 Channel” for free.
These 4 works will be available for free for a week. Director Shinkai Makoto is known for multiple masterpiece with beautiful and precise scene descriptions. Take this opportunity and immerse yourself in his works on “ABEMA”.
