Manga and Anime conference specialized in “Webtoons” called “IMART2022” will start streaming archives of the event

Manga and anime’s borderless conference called “International Manga Anime Festival Reiwa Toshima”, also known as “IMART”, was held for the 3rd time as “IMART2022” and its archive is currently being streamed. In addition to 12 talk sessions, there will be an additional 3 talk shows from the online talk event “MART+” will be available.

“International Manga Anime Festival Reiwa Toshima” is the first borderless conference in Japan based on the theme  of “creating the future of manga and animation”. It was first held on November 15 to 17, 2019, and the second event on February 26 and 27, 2021.
The innovators and staff from both manga and anime industries exchanged ideas, held meetings, and had several interactions to produce the environment in order to be the first manga and anime borderless conference.

“IMART2022” was the 3rd time of the event, which was held under the idea that interactions over different industries are vital for Japan’s manga and anime industries after experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic.
This conference mainly focused on “webtoon”, the field where artists from both anime and manga industries begin to become involve in 2022, and the event was held from October 21, 22, and 23 in 2022. Over 120 workers from both industries participated in talk sessions and exchange events. Sessions on day 2 and 3 had marked the participants at over 1,000.

The archive of the event released this time includes 2 main lectures, such as “Anime Studio’s Present and Future” by MAPPA’s CEO Kimura Makoto and the project leader, 12 sessions including “Anime Industry analyzed from the view of the independent producer”, and 3 special sessions from “IMART+” with “Middle East’s Manga and Anime Industry ~Arabian Night ONLINE Talk~”.
