“Slam Dunk” is the shonen manga by Inoue Takehiko that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from the 1990’s Issue 42 to 1996’s Issue 27. “The First Slam Dunk” is a new theatrical anime that was announced by Inoue himself in January 2021 on Twitter, saying “Slam Dunk will be getting a movie!”. The live broadcast on November 4 has revealed the latest information, including Nakamura Shugo as Miyagi Ryota, Kasama Jun as Mitsui Hisashi, Kamio Shinichiro as Rukawa Kaede, Kimura Subaru as Sakuragi Hanamichi, and Miyake Kenta as Akagi Takenori.

The announced “Slam Dunk Jump” is a mook that was created for new reader as well as existing fans in mind to make use of this opportunity to read the original manga within the high-spirited tension as the premiere date of the new theatrical anime is approaching.
