“Gintama” and Capcom Cafe Collaboration! Items Inspired by Gin-san, Shinpachi, and Kagura Including “Uji Gintoki Bowl”

Aeon Lake Town and Ikebukuro branches of Capcom Cafe will hold a collaboration with the TV anime “Gintama” from October 7, 2022. The official website disclosed the menu lineup.

The TV anime “Gintama” is based on a gag manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, which has sold more than 55 million copies. Set in Edo where people’s values have changed due to the arrival of Amanto (outer space aliens), the story combines science-fiction and period-drama comedy, following the chaotic days of Sakata Gintoki, a.k.a. “Yorozuya Gin-san.”

The TV anime series started in 2006 and ran for a total of 13 years, including suspension periods. It has starred numerous well-known voice actors, including Sugita Tomokazu, who played the role of Sakata Gintoki, as well as Sakaguchi Daisuke, Kugimiya Rie, Chiba Susumu, Nakai Kazuya, and Suzumura Kenichi.

The collaboration menu includes “Four Devas of Joui Kamameshi,” which is inspired by the Four Devas of Joui, along with “Yorozuya’s Uji Gintoki Bowl,” “Shinpachi’s Lactic Bacteria Blue Soda,” “Kamui’s Pink Grapefruit Soda,” and “Hijkata’s Mayonnaise Juice.” There will also be “Sadaharu, Elizabeth, and Justaway’s Tapas,” “Yato Tribe’s Umbrella Crepe,” and “Shinpachi & Yamazaki’s Red Bean Paste Maritozzo.”

Visitors will receive an “original luncheon mat” per visit and a coaster per order of the original beverage. In addition, a “photographic portrait postcard” will be presented for every 3,000 yen spent on the cafe menu.

The collaboration event with the TV anime “Gintama,” which features limited cafe menus and items, will begin on October 7, 2022, at the Aeon Lake Town and Ikebukuro branches of Capcom Cafe. Visit the official website of “Capcom Cafe” for more information.
