“Tsuki no Maki”, the second movie of the new film trilogy, “Toku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru ~Setsugetsuka~”, from the anime “Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru”, is now showing at theaters.
With release set for September 1st, the series has released a teaser and key visual, alongside info about the theme song of its third movie, “Hana no Maki”.

Touken Ranbu is originally a simulation game in which the player collects legendary swords personified as a human warriors. Since the release of the game in 2015, the series quickly became popular, attracting a large fanbase composed of mainly young women. The spur in popularity caused swords to become a trending thing throughout various regions of Japan.
The anime adaptation “Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru” aired its first season on 2016, followed by a second season on 2018.
Taking place at a “certain citadel” the story focuses on the earnest and serene daily lives of the swordsmen.
The talented staff responsible for building the world of “Hanamaru” has yet again gathered to deliver this much-awaited new masterpiece.

The key visual released from the part of the movie “Hana no Maki” features five swords. In addition to Kashuu Kiyomitsu and Yamatokami Yasusada, the characters Heshikiri Hasebe, Shishiou, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga are also present.
The five swordsmen can be seen under a cherry blossom tree in full bloom wearing their battle costumes gallantly staring at the horizon.

The video is full of must-see moments such as the four swords Kotegiri Gou, Buzen Gou, Kuwana Gou, and Matsui Gou dancing together beautifully; as well as Kashuu Kiyomitsu becoming stronger for the sake of the Saniwa after undergoing training with Yamatokami Yasusada. Will the swordsmen come back safely from their expedition? Will they be able to rescue Saniwa? The main teaser also reveals Hana no Maki’s theme song “Ouka no Tayori”. Make sure to listen closely.

“Toku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru ~Setsugetsuka~” second part “Tsuki no Maki” is currently screening. The third part “Hana no Maki” will release on September 1st.
