All the previous episodes of the TV anime “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” will be streamed for free on the ABEMA Anime Channel on ABEMA, the new future TV channel. The broadcast will take place on two days, on June 18 at 6:30 p.m. and June 19 at 5:30 p.m., providing viewers with an opportunity to review all the previous episodes.

“Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” is a romantic comedy based on a manga series by Keigo Maki. Currently serialized in “Magazine Pocket”, the comic series so far has sold over 3.5 million copies and received more than 3 million likes on Twitter. The story depicts the daily life of Izumi, a high school boy with an unfortunate constitution, and Shikimori, who transforms into the coolest “handsome girlfriend” when Izumi is in a tight spot.

The TV anime has been on air since April 2022 under the production of Doga Kobo and the direction of Ryota Ito, who is known for “My Senpai Is Annoying”. Staff members also include the “PreCure” series’ Yoshimi Narita for the story editor, Ai Kikuchi, who is known for “NEW GAME!” and “How Many Kilograms are the Dumbbells You Lift?”, for character design and animation director. The main cast is Saori Onishi for Shikimori, Shuichiro Umeda for Izumi, and Misato Matsuoka, Rina Hidaka, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Ayaka Fukuhara, and others are also listed.

The free distribution on “ABEMA Anime Channel” will look back at all the episodes broadcast so far. Episodes 1 through 8 will be distributed on June 18 at 6:30 p.m., and the broadcast on June 19 at 5:30 p.m. will air episodes 1 through 9, including the latest episode that just aired. It will be a great opportunity to enjoy the romantic comedy with 1000% preciousness between a “handsome girlfriend” and an “unfortunate boyfriend”.
