“ARC Championship 2022,” an event gathering 110 “Itasha” with designs of characters from anime, manga, and video games such as “Uma Musume,” “THE iDOLM@STER,” and “LOVE LIVE!,” was held at the ski resort “Glansnow Okuibuki” in Shiga on May 29, 2022.
An “itasha” is a car that has been decorated with stickers or painted with logos of manga, anime, game, and other related characters and manufacturers. It is one of the fans’ personal activities for anime and games and the characters drawn are typically beautiful girl characters and other characters based on flat illustrations called “two-dimensional” or other motifs. They are also called “moe-sha.”
The “ARC Championship 2022” is a meet-up event where a total of 110 Itasha are exhibited and enthusiasts of Itasha gather.
All cars, regardless of model or genre, are printed with manga, anime, and game characters.
The cars will be decorated with characters from “Uma Musume,” “THE iDOLM@STER,” “LOVE LIVE!,” “Fate,” “Kantai Collection,” “K-ON!” and other contents, as well as “VTubers” designed cars will also be on display.
“ARC Championship 2022” will be held at “Grandsnow Okuibuki” in Maibara City, Shiga on May 29 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. General admission is free.
