“Jujutsu Kaisen 0: the Movie” will close at all theaters nationwide on May 29, 2022. Along with the closing announcement, the production team announced that the movie raised total revenue of 13,613,217,790 JPY from 9,712,142 visitors throughout the 137 days until May 7. A comment from Megumi Ogata, who plays Yuta Okkotsu, was also released.

As the first film adaptation of “Jujutsu Kaisen,” “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: the Movie” was released in 418 theaters throughout Japan, of which 39 are IMAX theaters, on December 24, 2021, the “day of the night parade of a hundred demons”. Even after the winter break, it has kept attracting many visitors, making it a big hit in the long run.
The number of visitors has reached 9,71 million in the first 137 days of its release, with the box office exceeding 13.6 billion JPY, and the movie has been in the top 10 of the “Weekend Audience Ranking” for 15 consecutive weeks since its release. It has also won the “Best Animated Film” award at ” the 45th Japan Academy Awards”.

This film, an “extraordinary” blockbuster, has been a constant topic of conversation, with the announcement of the “decision to broadcast the TV anime season 2 in 2023” at the stage greeting held in February, but it has now been decided that the screening will end simultaneously in all theaters nationwide on May 29.

I am surprised to hear that many people are still coming to see the movie and it became a long run, and at the same time, I am filled with a sense of gratitude that I cannot express in words. We are almost to the end of the film.
