The trailer for the film “The Quintessential Quintuplets” has been released together with the announcement of the theatres’ goods, such as a pamphlet and clear poster.
“The Quintessential Quintuplets” is a comedy love manga by Haruba Negi that was serialized in “Weekly Shounen Magazine” until February 2020. This series has accumulated more than 16 million copies in circulation.
The story depicts the effort of the high school student protagonist Uesugi Fuutarou, who was living a poor life, to guide the unique quintuplets, who are on the verge of failing, to graduate safety after becoming their tutor. The first season of the TV anime was broadcast from January 2019 to March 2019 while the second season was broadcast from January 2021 to March 2021, on TBS and other channels.
The trailer depicts the cultural festival, which is the last school event for Uesugi Fuutarou and the quintuplets and together with Fuutarou’s line of “I had to come up with an answer no matter what”, it isalso filled with various scenes that are approaching the climax of the story.
Also, the theatres’ goods, such as the theatres pamphlet, clear poster, acrylic stand, and tin badges, have been announced. The pamphlet is available in two editions, normal edition and luxury edition, where the luxury edition comes with a 80 page full colored book that features the gravure photos of the 6 main cast as well as their interviews on looking back on this film. The opening theme of this film, “Gotoubun no Kiseki” will be available in advance on various music streaming service websites. A special program featuring all the 6 main cast will be held at ABEMA, so please check the official website for more information.
The film “The Quintessential Quintuplets” will premiere on nationwide theatres on May 20, 2022.
