TV anime “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” will start broadcasting on April 9, 2022, and the latest PV has been released along with the start of the voting for the 2nd voice drama project.

“Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” is based on the same-name manga by Maki Keigo that is currently being serialized on Kodansha “Magazine Pocket”. It depicts the daily life of the misfortune high school boy Izumi-kun and his “cute x cool” girlfriend Shikimori-san.
The director is Itou Ryouta of “My Senpai Is Annoying”, the series composition is handled by “PreCure”‘s Narita Yoshimi, and character design and key animation director is Kikuchi Ai, known for “NEW GAME!” and “How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?”. The animation is handled by Doga Kobo.

The 60 second PV mainly focus on Shikimori and Izumi along with their voice actors, Onishi Saori and Umeda Shuuichirou. So, do check out the broadcast in spring 2022.

The short episode voice drama project based on the original manga is currently being held on the official Twitter account. Two short episodes will be chosen each month, and the one that gets the most votes from the follower will be adapted into a voice drama. It is expected to be released during the anime broadcast. The cute episode “Shikimori’s and Izumi’s Hair” (Bonus chapter of volume 1) was chosen for the first voice drama.
The voting for the 2nd voice drama has started on February 5, and the chosen episodes are the outdoor episode “Shikimori’s and Izumi’s Picnic” (Bonus chapter of volume 3) and the indoor episode “Game Competition with Everyone” (Chapter 36 of volume 3). So, do vote for your favorite episode as it will end in the afternoon of February 12. The 3rd voice drama will be announced in March.
