fripSide unveils photos and cover from its new single “Leap of faith”, releasing on February 2, 2022.
“Leap of faith” is the OP theme of the TV anime “The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest” which aired on January 2022. This is also the last single to include the vocals of the 2nd phase lead singer, Nanjo Yoshino who announced her retirement from fripSide last year.

The anime to which “Leap of faith” lends itself as opening theme for, “The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest” is originally a light novel series written by Shinkoshoto under the genre Isekai Fantasy, currently being serialized at “GA Novel”.
Feeling the limitations of the crest he was born with, the world’s strongest sage reincarnates in a distant future world as Matthias, possessing the “strongest combat crest” he’s been seeking. However in the era he was born in, his crest was known as the “weakest crest”…. The story follows Mattias as he proceeds to crush this world’s common sense.

Starting from Tamaki Nina as the protagonist, Mattias, the anime stars Suzushiro Sayumi, Shiraishi Haruka, and Izawa Shiori, and aired at TOKYO MX, BS11, Sun TV, and AT-X on January 8, 2022.

Nanjo Yoshino has been active as the lead singer of fripSide since the release of “only my railgun” on November 4, 2009, and “Leap of faith” will the be last single of the 2nd phase of fripSide. Along with the announcement of single, photos and highlights from the music video were also released.

“Leap of faith”, the last single featuring Nanjo Yoshino as the vocals of fripSide Phase 2, will be released on February 2, 2022. The lfirst-run imited edition is priced at 1,980JPY(tax included), and the regular editions at 1,320JPY(tax included).
