“Jujutsu Kaisen 0” (Currently available in the theatres) has announced the first 3 days box office result. The results are over 1.9 million audiences with a total box office revenue that exceeds 2.69 billion JPY from December 24 to 26. Also, it was revealed that the characters that had yet to appear on the TV anime series, such as Nanami, Mei Mei, and the students of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School, had appeared in this film.

TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” is based on the same name manga by Akutami Gege that is currently being serialized on Shueisha’s “Weekly Shounen Jump”. This serialization started in March 2018, and it depicts the battle between the curses born from humans’ negative emotions and the Jujutsu sorcerers that exorcised it . With the release of volume 18 on December 25, the series has exceeded 60 million copies in circulation, and the prequel to “Jujutsu Kaisen”, “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” was adapted into a film, which is the first in this series, and was premiered on December 24, 2021.

The first 3 days box office result of “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” that is currently being premiered on nationwide 418 theatres (inclusive of 39 IMAX theatres) has been announced. During the duration of December 24, 25, and 26, a total of 1,908,053 audiences were recorded with a box office revenue of 2,694,128,150 JPY.

For the first day survey, 79.9% of the audiences are “very satisfied” with this film and 18.8% are “satisfied” with it. By summing both up, a total of 98% of the audiences are quite satisfied with this film.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the characters that had yet to appear on the TV anime series, such as Nanami, Mei Mei, and the students of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School, had appeared in this film.
The students of “Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School”, such as Todo Aoi (voiced by Kimura Subaru), Kamo Noritoshi (voiced by Hino Satoshi), Nishimiya Momo (voiced by Kugimiya Rie), Zen’in Mai (voiced by Inoue Marina), Miwa Kasumi (voiced by Akasaki Chinatsu), and Ultimate Mekamaru (voiced by Matsuoka Yoshitsugu), together with the Grade 1 Jujutsu sorcerer and Gojou Satoru’s kouhai, Nanami Kento (voiced by Tsuda Kenjirou) can be seen handling the “Hyakki Yagyo (Night Parade of a Hundred Demons)” that is happening in Kyoto in this film.

On the other hand, Mei Mei (voiced by Mitsuishi Kotono), Ino Takuma (voiced by Hayashi Yuu), and Kusakabe Atsuya can be seen handling the “Hyakki Yagyo” in Shibuya, Tokyo. It was revealed in this film that the voice of Kusakabe Atsuya is handled by Miki Shinichiro. Other than the mentioned character, the doctor of Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School that is healing the Jujutsu sorcerers on the day of “Hyakki Yagyo” and the user of “Reverse Healing Cursed Technique”, Ieiri Shoko (voiced by Endo Aya) and the vice director as well as a supporter to Ieiri and the other Jujutsu sorcerers, Nitta Akari (voiced by Tokui Sora) will also make an appearance.

“Jujutsu Kaisen 0” is currently available on nationwide Toho affiliated theatres.
