The 60th featured film and latest work of Disney is “Encanto” (Premiere on November 26, 2021) and the Japanese version poster has been revealed along with the comments from the director Byron Howard.
“Encanto” is Disney’s first original musical work in 4 years since the release of “Moana” in 2017.
The story takes place at the mysterious magic house “Madrigals House”, which is a key in the story, at the inner part of lively Colombia in South America.
All the children of the Madrigals family were blessed with a unique gift (magic power) from the house, except for the young girl Mirabel. And it depicts the “plain girl” Mirabel standing up after she found out about the house crisis.
The Japanese version poster has been released, and it depicts the main lead Mirabel, who is the only one without any gift in the family, at the center with the eldest daughter Isabela with the gift to “make plants grow and flower bloom” and the second daughter, Luisa with the gift of “superhuman strength”.
Directors of this film are Byron Howard, known as the director of “Tangled” and “Zootopia”, and Jared Bush, who is also the co-director and scriptwriter of “Zootopia”.
Regarding the main lead Mirabel, director Jared commented “We wanted to create a lovable character that the audiences can feel the realism and human feeling. Despite she has a defect, we believe she is still lovely in that way. As she is not your typical heroine, we believe that many people can share the same feeling as her.” as he revealed the charms of creating the heroine without any special abilities.
“Encanto” will premiere on November 26, 2021
