“World’s End Harem” Ep.2 and Onwards Postponed to January 2022 in Need of “Close Examination”

Scheduled to start its broadcast on October 8th, TV anime “World’s End Harem” announced that episode 2 and later episodes will be postponed to January 2022, due to a need of “close examination”. Episode 1 will air on October 8th as “special prior broadcast”.

The original work of “World’s End Harem” is a “near-future erotic suspense” comic produced by LINK and Kotaro Yoino that is currently serialized in “SHONEN JUMP +.” The story is set in a world where an unknown virus eradicated 99.9% of the male population on earth. The main character Reito is one of the “Numbers”, men who have a tolerance to this virus. To prevent humans from extinction, Reito is given a mission of “mating”, making babies with the female who survived the pandemic, and eventually be involved in a world-class conspiracy in regard to the “Numbers”.

On October 8th, the day of episode 1 broadcast, a “notice of broadcast/distribution delay” was posted on the official website. They commented that “We have to announce that we decided to postpone the broadcast of episode 2 and onwards of “World’s End Harem,” from October 15th to the next season starting from January 2022 due to a need for close examination of depiction. We sincerely apologize to those who were looking forward to our work.” They concluded the announcement by commenting, “We will continue our hard work to deliver the charm of this work and appreciate your continued support.”

Episode 1 will air on October 8th as scheduled, but as a “special prior broadcast.” However, they have postponed the streaming date of the whole episode to January 2022. The updated broadcast date will be announced on the official website and Twitter as soon as detailed information is available.
