The latest movie of “Sing” series called “Sing: Next Stage” will continue to use the same main casts for Japanese dub version. Uchimura Mitsuyoshi will play the protagonist Buster, Sakamoto Maaya for Rojita, Saitou Tsukasa (Trendy Angel) for Gunter, and the comments from them have arrived. Moreover, the special trailer with the continuing casts has been released.
When Uchimura commented on continuing Buster’s role, he said, “Since I got 5 years older, so I want to keep my youngness as much as possible and play him as I remember how I played”.
Sakamoto then commented on Rojita’ role, “Rojita accomplished her goal by breaking her shell in the previous series, and I look forward what kind of challenge she will try in the upcoming movie” and Saitou revealed his episode with his family when mentioned Gunter’s role by saying, “I played him before my daughter was born, and now she is 3 and I see her watching and dancing the dance with Gunter over and over again”.
The special trailer with continuing casts is released only in Japan and it depicted the new challenge for Buster and his friends through the new show that they are going to perform in “Crystal Tower Theater”, located in the luxurious sanctuary of the entertainment of Red Shore City. In addition to the familiar characters of the New Moon Theater, multiple new characters, including the legendary rock star lion Clay, are showing their charms in the trailer. Will Buster and others make the show a success?
“Sing: Next Stage” will be upgraded and performed with famous hit songs, dance, musical, and live performances and will be released on March 18, 2022.
【Uchimura Mitsuyoshi (Buster)】
Many audiences did not realize that I was playing Buster Moon in the previous movie, and I got many responses that “was that you, playing Buster?”. I was glad to hear that, because I tried my best to hide that I am playing the character. Since I got 5 years older, so I want to keep my youngness as much as possible, but sorry if my tone changed by removing a tooth. I want to remember how I played by watching the previous movie.
Recording session is very difficult and I know that the days of training will come soon. I felt the skills of the voice actors in the previous movie, and I think I will feel that again this time. I hope that I can steal their techniques.
【Sakamoto Maaya (Rojita)】
“Sing” is the movie that make you both laugh and cry, so I LOVE it. I was so happy to hear that Rojita will appear in the new movie again and I cannot wait for the recording. Rojita accomplished her goal in the previous movie by breaking her own shell and I look forward what kind of challenge she will try in the upcoming movie.
【Saitou Tsukasa (Gunter)】
I am honestly happy that I can play Gunter after 5 years. It is because I hoped to show this to my child one day, since “Sing” got so popular among the children and some children waved at me with Gunter’s stuffed toy when I performed skits for comedy. I played him before my daughter was born and she is now 3 and I see her watching and dancing the dance with Gunter over and over again.
I knew nothing on how I should act in the last movie, and it was new for me to both recording and singing. I was uncertain that if I am okay, after hearing the original voice actor Nick Kroll, but I enjoyed playing with all support provided by others around me. As the result, I could appear in Music Station as a “Sing” member. I never expected to appear in Music Station with Lady Gaga’s music when I became a comedian. Lol
How will the characters grow up and wave the story? Let’s wait and see where Gunter will take you to!
