The original work of “When Will Ayumu Make His Move?” is the manga by Yamamoto Souichirou of “Teasing Master Takagi-san”, which is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump” (Kodansha).
The protagonist Tanaka Ayumu, who is the beginner of shogi, enters the shogi club after falling in love with the shogi club captain Yaotome Urushi at the first sight. While he declares to confess his love “as soon as he wins”, but it doesn’t seem realistic with his skills. Moreover, the production staff was announced. The director is Minato Mirai, who is known with “Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, So I’ll Max Out My Defense”, and the character designer is Hirata Kazuya from the same work. SILVER LINK, the anime production office known for “Non Non Biyori” and “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!”, will be in charge.
