‘Japan Sinks : 2020’ directed by Yuasa Masaaki has been nominated for TV Films in the Competition “Annecy International Animation Film Festival”
“Japan Sinks : 2020” is the first-ever anime adaptation of “Japan Sinks”, a big hit novel written by Komatsu Sakyo. The anime adaptation is directed by Yuasa Masaaki (“The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl” “Lu over the Wall”), a world- famous director, and a total of 10 episodes are available on Netflix since July 2020.
Episode 1 titled ‘The Beginning of the End’ is nominated for TV Films in the Competition ‘Annecy International Animation Film Festival’ .
Yuasa-director has four works nominated for Annecy International Animation Film Festival: one for Short Films, two for Feature Films, and one for TV Films. In 2017, he won the Crystal award for a Feature Film with “Lu over the Wall”.
‘Annecy International Animation Film Festival’ 2021 will be held from June 14 to 19.
