Seiyu Awards Committee announced the delay or the cancellation of “14th Seiyu Awards” ceremony and “New Voice Actor Excavation Final Audition” held at the same day on Mar. 7, 2020 due to increasing risks of the new Corona Virus (COVID-19) in Japan.
The committee stated that they made such decision for the events because they valued the safety of award winners, the applicants, and staff from the virus which do not have specific cure and it is unknown how it was spread.
On the other hand, the announcement of the award winners for “14th Seiyu Awards” will be held in a special program on the internet radio of Japanese Cultural Broadcast “Super! A&G+” from Mar. 7, on 6:00 pm, and the results can be posted on the official Twitter of Seiyu Awards after the announcement on the radio.
