From the “Higurashi When They Cry” series, which will be broadcast from Oct. 1, comments from the main cast, including Hoshi Souichirou and Nakahara Mai have arrived. At the same time, an illustration to commemorate the broadcast has arrived from Akase Tomato, who is in charge of the comic adoption.

“Higurashi When They Cry” is based on horror, mystery novel game by Ryukishi07（produced by 07th Expansion）. It depicts a mystery case that takes place in Hinamizawa village, a poor village, in the early summer of 1983, and the 1st season of the TV anime had been broadcast in 2006. Following that, various media adaptation including the 2nd season of the TV anime, OVA, the movie, and TV
drama, have been released.

Hoshi Souichirou as Maebara Keiichi commented, ‘It’s not been so long since I played Keiichi last time, but I was feeling ready to play him as he will appear in new character design in the TV series.” Full comments are available on the official website.

Hoshi Souichirou as Maebara Keiichi
It’s not been so long since I played Keiichi last time, but I was feeling fresh to play him as he will appear in a new character design in the TV series.
The recording sessions went smoothly. The cast remained the same, and I felt Higurashi’s usual atmosphere. I couldn’t believe it was a long time since out last work. (laugh)

Nakahara Mai as Ryugu Rena
I was so happy that I could play Rena with all my heart. I have played her for various adaptation every year, but I realized again how precious it is for me to play with the cast of Higurashi, who built me up.

Yukino Satsuki as Sonozaki Mion, Shion
As for myself, I didn’t feel it was after a long time as I have played for some media adaptation such as games. However, it has been a long time to play with the other cast, so I was really glad and thought, ‘This is it! This is it!’ Not all the cast could get together in this difficult situation, so I’m looking forward to its broadcast.

Kanai Mika as Hojo Satoko
I didn’t feel like it’s been a long time to play Satoko of Higurashi, but…I cannot say anymore…

Tamura Yukari as Furude Rika
It’s been a long time to play her in anime, but I have been playing her for years, so I didn’t feel like it’s after a long time. I was really glad to see the rest of the cast.
