The main cast members of the anime “Toutotsu ni Egypt Kami” (Suddenly, Egyptian Gods) have been revealed. Shimono Hiro will be voicing Anubis, while Kaji Yuuki will be the voice of Thoth. In addition, a promo video where fans can enjoy the characters' voices is now being streamed.

“Toutotsu ni Egypt Kami” depicts the carefree daily life of the Egyptian Gods. The role of Anubis, the God of Judgment, is played by Shimono Hiro, and the role of Thoth, the God of Wisdom, is played by Kaji Yuuki.

About the attractive point of this work, Shimono said, “Although it features a warm atmosphere, I like to see that it also includes an unexpected and funny turn of events”.
Kaji said in response, “When I saw the videotape recorder we received in advance for the dubbing, I thought at first, 'It would be absolutely great if it turned out like this!'. But when we finished the recording session, I felt like it became even more interesting than before”.

Moreover, to celebrate the announcement of the cast, a promotional video featuring the character voices of Anubis and Thoth has been released, where fans can enjoy in advance the carefree world of “Toutotsu ni Egypt Kami”.

Anubis is a very honest and gentle child.
He gets very excited when he is with his friends, and shows to be a naive and innocent soul.
From the other side, he can also be mature and thoughtful of his friends, which proof is given when he is suddenly attacked by one of them and he first tries to understand their reasons before making a fuss about it.

Although it features a warm atmosphere, I like to see that it also includes an unexpected and funny turn of events.
Also, I like how the Egyptian Gods are unfazed by everything, which is kind of cute!

That was a little unexpected…
The anime “Toutotsu ni Egypt Kami” is a very interesting work!
It's a heartwarming comedy filled with cute characters who sometimes show to be calm and relaxed, and sometimes get totally mad.

Thoth is the God of Wisdom who is known for his elegant use of language.
That's why I got the impression that he talks very briskly.
At the same time, he also looks very cute with a carefree personality, so I tried to create a well-balanced play by combining the two different sides of his character.

■Attractive points
Since Thoth and Anubis had to say together the line, “Zuttomo desu” (Friends Forever), I truly enjoyed playing him while being careful of the tempo synchronization with my partner.
