The novel “Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World-“, which has been adapted into various works such as a TV anime series and an animated movie, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2020 with a special appearance of Hisakawa Aya, who played the role of Kino in the first media mix, a radio drama (2001), in the Blu-ray BOX Special Drama CD. The novel “Kino's Journey”, which was written by Sigsawa Keiichi and illustrated by Kuroboshi Kouhaku, began to be published in 2000. Various media mix have been created, such as a TV anime series, a feature film, a radio drama, and a manga.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, a special website and logo for the commemoration, the new publication “Kino's Journey the Beautiful World XXIII”, a collection of the first best episodes chosen by the fans through a voting contest, a Blu-ray containing all episodes of the first TV anime series “Kino's Journey – the Beautiful World-“, a Blu-ray BOX TV of the second anime TV series “Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series”, etc. have been announced.

The arc is a school comedy in which the characters from Kino's Journey play an active role in a different world and setting. The full adolescent story depicts Kino as an ordinary high school girl who enjoys her school life with a talking motorcycle named Hermes, but in reality, she is a champion of justice who fights demons with a gun, and Shizu, the most popular guy in the school who appears in her life.
Hisakawa is said to make a special appearance as a Goddess.

Furthermore, a new original illustration by Kuroboshi Kouhaku, which has been designed for the case of Blu-ray BOX “Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series”, has been revealed. Also, a rebroadcast of “Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World-” (aired in 2003) and “Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series” (aired in 2017) has been planned, along with a reprint collaboration with the smartphone game “Alchemia Story”.

Since more projects are planned in the future, stay tuned on it!

Hisakawa Aya

20 years after the recording of the radio drama in 2001, the original story of Kino's Journey, which is loved by many people, continues to this day.
It was a treasure for me to be able to play the first Kino in this work.
By the way, the improvisations of the Goddess were actually in the script, so I didn't mean to be offensive in any way! (laugh)
