DWANGO Co., Ltd. has announced that the event “Niconico Net Chokaigi 2020” (Niconico Super Conference 2020) scheduled for Apr. 12 to Apr. 19, 2020, will partially have postponement/ change/ suspension. The company has explained the reason saying, “This is a result of considering the safety of everyone including staff and casts related to the Net Chokaigi Event.”

“Niconico Net Chokaigi 2020” is an online event that was announced after the decision was made to suspend the “Niconico Chokaigi 2020” event that was originally scheduled for Apr.18 to 19 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, due to the new coronavirus.

Six stages are announced to be suspended, including, “Chokabuki Supported by NTT 'Otogizoushi Koi no Sugatae'”, “Niconico Net Chokaigi 2020 X EGOIST LIVE TOUR 2020 side-A 'chrysalizion code 404'”, “Cho Vocaloid Area”, and “IdolM@ster Starlit Season”. Also, three stages are announced to be postponed, including, “VTuber Fes Japan”, “VOCALOID Fes supported by Tobu Top Tours”, and “Cho ZUN Beer” while stages such as “Cho Techno Houyou X Kougen”, “Cho Namaket”, and “Cho Game Studio from Tokaigi 2020” has been announced to have changed in the schedules.

DWANGO Co., Ltd. has explained saying, “This is a result of considering the safety of everyone including staff and casts related to the Net Chokaigi Event.” as the reason behind the postponement/ change/ suspension. The company further commented saying, “At this point, we do not have any dates decided on the substitutional performance for the suspended stages or schedules. Upon the end of the spreading of the COVID-19 infection, we will have a follow-up announcement for each stage.”
