"Tokyo Revengers" becomes a live-action movie! Comments from the original author and the cast, "I could imagine it instantly and found myself trembling with excitement!"

A live-action movie project for the manga “Tokyo Revengers” has started, with the release expected to be in fall 2020. In addition, comments from the original author Wakui Ken and the producer Okada Shouta, along with a collaboration cut of an original opening-scene have been received.

“Tokyo Revengers” is a manga serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” by Wakui Ken, also known for “Shinjuku Swan” and “Desert Eagle”.
It is a gekokujou revenge-suspense story that revolves around an unemployed man named Takemichi. One day, in the middle of his miserable life, he finds himself in a time leap back to 10 years ago, when he was a bad student in school. To change his runaway life, he decided to challenge the Kantou region's most brutal delinquent gang, Tokyo Revengers.

Regarding the live-action movie, the original author Wakui Ken said, “The moment I heard the names of the cast members, the images of Takemichi and the others on the screen came to my mind instantly. I was trembling for the excitement! Please look forward to the release!!”.
In addition, a collaboration cut of an original opening-scene was announced and released on the official Twitter and Instagram accounts at the same time. Further news is being highly anticipated, such as, who will play the role of Takemichi?

The movie “Tokyo Revengers” will be released nationwide in fall 2020.
