From the animation film "Love Me, Love Me Not" comes visuals & teaser! Han Megumi, Shimazaki Nobunaga, and others were announced as the main cast.

The animation film "Love Me, Love Me Not" will be released on May 29, 2020. Visuals and a teaser of the film were revealed along with the announcement of the main cast; Han Megumi, Suzuki Marika, Shimazaki Nobunaga, and Saito Soma.

"Love Me, Love Me Not" is originally a comic by Sakisaka Io, who is known for her "Strobe Edge", and "Ao Haru Ride". The story depicts the growth of the high schoolers; Akari, Yuna, Rio, and Kazuomi, who have a complicated relationship and them facing themselves and others in their everyday life.
Last April, they announced both live-action and animation film adaption of the comic, and the animated version will be handled by A-1 Pictures, who created "Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku" etc.

Four voice actors were announced as the cast of the anime version.
They are; Han Megumi as Yamamoto Akari, who is aggressive and realistic about romance but is not good at expressing her true feelings, Suzuki Marika as Ichihara Yuna, the romantic but shy girl, Shimazaki Nobunaga as Yamamoto Rio, Akari's stepbrother, who has conflicted feelings about his relations, and Saito Soma as Inui Kazuomi, who is Yuna's childhood friend, a sincere "good guy" that keeps it a bit too cool.

The teaser finely depicts the four of them in the conflict of trying to be honest to "their true feelings" and trying not to hurt "each others' feelings". It well anticipates the four's tough romantic lives.

【Han Megumi as Yamamoto Akari】
It's such an honor to be a part of the world of Sakisaka-sensei. The monolog is repeated in the original works, woven by Yuna, Akari, Rio, and Kazuomi along with the delicate and emotional images and music in the teaser are so impressive. Each of the lingering words of the title gives off the sense of their growing feelings. Please look forward to me carefully cultivating Akari's emotions.

【Suzuki Marika as Ichihara Yuna】
I always loved Sakisaka-sensei's works since I was in elementary school. I've even read this comic together with my parents. Though I felt anxiety along with the joy of getting the role, I wanted to make this anime better with my performance of Yuna. She is innocent and doesn't have confidence in herself but has a strong will. She has come so far since meeting Akari-chan and Rio-kun. I will try to perform with Yuna's progress in mind.

【Shimazaki Nobunaga as Yamamoto Rio】
The original manga was such an emotional story. It was nice that in the teaser, they wanted me to depict the humanly side of Rio and not his personal characteristics. I'm looking forward to recording with the other cast.

【Saito Soma as Inui Kazuomi】
When I read the original work before the audition, the story was so interesting that I couldn't stop reading. The four of them cross and pass by each others' feelings, gradually getting closer. I'm looking forward to seeing how the anime film will depict the original story. I hope you will enjoy the film!
