The HD remaster of the TV anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion" will be broadcast on three Kanto area television channels, starting from Jan. 2020. This is the first time the show will be broadcast simultaneously on three channels.
"Neon Genesis Evangelion" is an original TV anime directed by Anno Hideki, who is also known for directing live-action films like "Shin Godzilla". The anime was broadcast from Oct. 1995 to Mar. 1996 on the TV Tokyo Network, and quickly became a social phenomenon.
This broadcast comes ahead of the Jun. 2020 release of "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0" , the last chapter in the Evangelion: film series.
The TV anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion" (HD Remaster Version) will be broadcast from Jan. 2020 on Television Kanagawa, Chiba Television Broadcasting, and Television Saitama.
