“Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” is base on the manga with the same title serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday written by Yamada Kanehito and drawn by Abe Tsukasa. Set in the world after the Demon King has been defeated by the heroes, the story depicts Frieren, who lives over 1,000 years, embarking on a “journey to understand humanity” following the death of Himmel, the human hero who she together fought against the Demon King.
The series has gained popularity for its poignant drama and dialogue between the people she encounters along the journey and her new companions, hilarious and one-of-a-kind scenes that will have you laughing out loud, and depictions of the magical battle scenes. When the TV anime started in the fall of 2023, it immediately became a hot topic. The original comics have surpassed 20 million copies in circulation, and many related words trended on social media every week during the anime broadcast, showing a huge excitement surrounding the series.
The newly released TORICO original merchandise features life-size and chibi illustrations of Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen.
