The online lotteries for the TV anime series “SSSS.GRIDMAN” and “SSSS.DYNAZENON” have returned. Lottery tickets can be purchased at the online lottery services “Kuji Mate” (Animate online store) and “Dokoprize” until May 19, 2024.
“SSSS.GRIDMAN” is based on Tusuburaya Productions’ tokusatsu drama “Gridman the Hyper Agent” (aired in 1993 – 1994), which became popular for adopting ideas such as “the internet” and “computer viruses” before the trend. Tsuburaya Productions worked with TRIGGER on the anime, which was broadcast in 2018.
The main staff of “SSSS.GRIDMAN” also worked on “SSSS.DYNAZENON,” another anime based on “Gridman the Hyper Agent” that was released in 2021. The show depicts boys and girls getting caught up in the battle between kaiju and the giant robot Dynazenon that came out of nowhere.
Later, in March 2023, “SSSS.GRIDMAN” and “SSSS.DYNAZENON” crossed over in the anime film “GRIDMAN UNIVERSE.”
Thanks to the voices of the fans, the online lotteries of these two titles, each released in 2021 and 2022, have made a return.
The original prizes include long tapestries and acrylic stands of an illustration by TRIGGER, and acrylic keychains and pin badges featuring “chimi” characters by Yupon.
In addition, a random pin badge (2 designs in total) will be given for every 10 draws of the lottery.
It was also announced that new online lotteries are planned for the “SSSS.GRIDMAN” x “SSSS.DYNAZENON” crossover “GRIDMAN UNIVERSE.” “GRIDMAN UNIVERSE Online Lottery 2024 Part 1” is scheduled to be released in May, and “GRIDMAN UNIVERSE Online Lottery 2024 Part 2” in June.
