ClariS, a two-member female unit celebrating the 12th anniversary of their debut and a new chapter in their career, makes a return to the YouTube channel “THE FIRST TAKE”. Following the much-talked-about “Connect,” they performed “ALIVE,” the opening theme song for the TV anime “Lycoris Recoil,” in a one-shot performance with an original arrangement only for “THE FIRST TAKE.”

“THE FIRST TAKE” is a YouTube channel that vividly captures one-shot performances. As of October 13, 2022, the channel had 6.85 million subscribers, making it the most subscribed Japanese YouTube channel in the music genre. The channel is also attracting attention as a global channel and has established “THE FIRST TAKE MUSIC,” a label specializing in distribution, and held its first concert with audience, “INSIDE THE FIRST TAKE supported by ahamo,” in May.

ClariS, whose performance in “Connect” was a hit, returned to “THE FIRST TAKE” for the 253rd edition, premiered on October 12 at 10:00 p.m.

The song “ALIVE,” the opening theme for the TV anime “Lycoris Recoil” and a challenge for the two ClariS members, were performed. This song, full of intensity and passion, was performed in a one-shot performance with an original arrangement just for “THE FIRST TAKE”.

Prior to the premiere at 10:00 p.m., a “1-hour endurance video of “ALIVE+α” also premiered on the official ClariS YouTube channel from 9:00 p.m. In addition, “ALIVE LycoReco Version,” which was first aired in the final episode of the TV anime “Lycoris Recoil,” and was newly produced for the final episode, has started its distribution. “ALIVE” is a song with a sense of speed and power that ClariS has never had before, so we put our whole heart and soul into singing it. The tempo was slowed down and the arrangement was more dramatic than the original song, so we were able to put more emotion into the song and sing the lyrics with a greater sense of meaning than usual. As the TV anime “Lycoris Recoil” is an original anime, we were very interested in how the story was going to unfold and enjoyed watching it, and we were very surprised that the response was more than we expected. We were glad that many of you enjoyed the anime together with “ALIVE”.
